 Introduction to our outsourcing options

For companies larger than 50 PCs and a couple of server we strongly recommend to consider choosing from our a range of outsourcing options.

Outsourcing is not just for large companies, it is rather a Company's dependence on their ICT infrastructure that dictates whether a company should opt for an outsourced option.  This dependence may be operational (i.e. a large number of workers use ICT to perform their duties), or it may be strategic (i.e. the Company uses IT to gain competitive advantage), or a combination of the two.

The main benefit of Outsourcing is that a Company gains its own ICT Department without the headaches of recruiting, managing and accommodating the whole IT Department.

There are four components to Outsourcing that can be mixed and matched to suit any Company's requirements:

  1. Staff:  Staff is generally available on your Organisation's premises at pre-arranged times and days.  The amount of on-site presence and the skills of the staff available is strictly related to your Company's requirement.  Some Companies have full-time staff, some have part-time, some have a mixture of part-time, full-time with diverse skill sets and degrees of specialisation.
  2. Management: Every team/department/division needs appropriate management.  Our Outsourced Managed Option is devised to ensure that it integrates seamlessly within your Organisation and takes into consideration:
    • The structure of the ICT Team and the Team Management Context required by your Company
    • The structure and operation of your Company's Management Team.
  3. Administration: ICT administration can be complex.  As well as administering staff, purchasing and maintaining equipment, there are issues such as depreciation, return on investment, cyclical replacement of stock, review of performance and requirement, compliance, security, Business Continuity Planning, to name just a few.  We ensure that your Company does not need to worry about any of these issues except at Decision Making Level.
  4. Out of Hours This component is always present for those Clients who only have part-time staff, and ensure that IT Support is available when technical staff is not on-site.  Companies that have full-time staff can add this components to ensure IT Support is available at week-end, or when full-time staff is not contracted to work

Outsourcing can be implemented in many ways, such as:

  1. A Company may be seeking to create or replace their ICT department with a high-control low-involvement solution
  2. A Company may have the requirement for some in-house staff and a high level of control of ICT resources
  3. A Company may require an interim solution while it sets up its own IT Department
  4. A Company may have need of interim management and administration to inform a restructuring programme
  5. A Company may wish to expand its own IT department
